Bellevue Palace & Victory Column

What is next to my apartment?
Bellevue
Palace &
Victory Column
As soon as we walk towards the Tiergarten park from the apartment, after crossing the Lutherbrücke bridge, the first thing we see is the Bellevue Palace.
Just cross the river
It is a beautiful walk, first crossing the river Spree, passing by the Bellevue Palace, which is the residence of the German president, then passing by his office and finally arriving at the Victory Column.
1 Km, 10 minutes nice walk
The Bellevue Palace, residence of the president of the German federal republic, is not usually visitable with the exception of one day a year: namely, the day of the open doors at the Bellevue Palace, which is usually at the end of summer. Bellevue Palace and the attached office complex will be renovated in the coming years.
The number 100 bus, very famous for its coincident route with many tourist attractions in Berlin, has its stop in front of the Bellevue Palace. The 100 bus is very useful! It can take you to many places in a few minutes. Berlin tourist buses also stop here in case you’re new in town.
Following the walk along the Spreeweg, at the end of this path you will arrive at the Victory Column “Siegessäule“, located in the middle of the large roundabout “Großer Stern” -big star-.
The Column of Victory can be visited. You can go up the stairs by buying a ticket. You will enjoy a spectacular view over the Tiergarten park and the Berlin skyline.
